'crossfire ' - programme objectives

The module aims to raise awareness of how Domestic Violence impacts on the well being of children and young people. The module is underpinned by the conviction in EVERY CHILD MATTERS that children should be healthy and stay safe without the threat of pervasive violence in the home.

The module offers a unique ‘Forum Theatre’ workshop where delegates will have the opportunity of working with a family - in an atmosphere of engagement, openness and consent - to support the child by implementing a range of strategies to achieve best outcomes.

Providing an Assessment Framework for protecting children – the Common Assessment Framework and the need for early intervention and support to avoid children being put at risk
